# MILO

> MILO is an iOS app that gives Siri the brains of frontier AI. On iOS, only
> Siri can be triggered hands-free and system-wide — but Siri itself is limited.
> MILO routes your spoken request to the AI model you choose (GPT, Claude,
> Gemini, and more), so you can ask brilliant models anything hands-free —
> while driving, walking, or with your hands full. Works on iPhone and CarPlay,
> iOS 17.6+. Available now on the App Store.

## How it works

- Say "Hey Siri, ask MILO…" from the lock screen, headphones, or CarPlay.
- Siri hands the request off to the AI provider and model you picked.
- The answer is spoken back, hands-free.

## Providers (7)

You bring your own API keys (cloud providers) and switch by voice:

- OpenAI — GPT-5.5, GPT-5.4 and mini.
- Anthropic Claude — Claude Opus 4.8, Sonnet 4.6, Haiku.
- Google Gemini — Gemini 3.5 Flash and 3.1 Pro; generous free tier.
- Mistral AI — Large, Medium, Small; European, cost-tiered.
- Groq — Llama, GPT-OSS, Qwen, Kimi; extremely fast inference.
- OpenRouter — 200+ models behind one key; many free.
- Apple Intelligence — on-device foundation model; no key, nothing leaves the phone.

Local Ollama is coming soon and is not available in this release.

Free models and API tokens: compare free LLM models and providers at
https://free-llm-models.custats.info/ and find free API tokens, trial credits,
and provider offers at https://freetokens.custats.info/. Pick an offer with API
access for a MILO-supported provider, create the key on the provider's site,
then add it in Settings → API Keys. Check the provider's current limits and
eligibility first — not every listed offer works with MILO or stays free.

## Privacy

- API keys are stored in the iOS Keychain.
- Conversation history stays on-device via SwiftData.
- No accounts; no analytics on your prompts. Only the provider you enable sees them.
- On-device Apple Intelligence does not send prompts to a third-party AI service.
